All In Day 2021

Thanks to the Molloy Community for helping us reach over 600 donors, and to our challenge donors who made each donation go further through their generosity! Our students still need your assistance so please consider making a donation and let us see how much more support we can give them! All hands on deck to help our Molloy students!

The Board of the Alumni Association has put forth a challenge for the Molloy Community: if we receive donations from an additional 100 donors members of the Board will donate $16,000! Thank you to these alumni who give their time, treasure and talent to Molloy! Let's meet and beat this challenge and exceed 600 donors for All In Day!

Fred Flynn will match, dollar for dollar, every donation to the Susan Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship at Molloy College, up to $10,000. This innovative program is designed to attract, inspire and foster professional development of the next generation of Oncology Nurses, and improve the quality of care of future cancer patients and their families.

Masks will be mailed to donors in May, but those who donate on campus will receive their mask on the spot, so students, faculty and staff come to the donation station at the Cameron Plaza, in front of the Public Square:

April 21^st from 3:20 – 5:00 p.m.

April 22^nd from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Meet Maureen Gannon, PhD, Molloy College Class of 1985, is the Associate Dean for Faculty Development at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as well as a professor of Medicine, Molecular Physiology and Biophysics, Cell and Developmental Biology. The research in her laboratory focuses on the function and regeneration of insulin-producing beta cells. Her work has implications for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

“I am extremely grateful for the years I spent at Molloy, both personally and professionally. The small class size, caring and passionate faculty, and liberal arts curriculum helped me to grow in confidence and broadened my worldview. When I entered graduate school, I quickly realized how unique the education I received at Molloy was from most of my classmates. Molloy prepared me to think critically, to be comfortable speaking in public, and to be eternally curious. These are skills that I use every day in my career. Being a student at Molloy was also a lot of fun! We went on yearly whale watching trips off Montauk Point and I had the opportunity to perform in a musical at the Molloy theater. Molloy is a college for the WHOLE person. It is my honor to give back to Molloy, in gratitude for all they gave to me, and to help future students to be successful. I donate in thanksgiving to Molloy and in honor of my mom, who was my first teacher, who loved her students and was passionate about lifelong learning.”

A generous faculty emeritis wants to encourage our faculty, administrators and staff to donate for All In Day! If 100 faculty and staff donate for All In Day, he will donate $1000! Faculty and staff know, through their day to day interactions with students, how much financial support these students need to attend Molloy.
